Before and After: A Full Kitchen and Living Space Renovation in Moncton

One of the most rewarding aspects of the work our network partners do is seeing a tired, dated space completely transformed. This project, completed by one of our trusted Network of Excellence contractors in Moncton, New Brunswick, involved a full renovation of the kitchen and main living area in a residential home. Here is a look at what changed and how the work came together.

The Starting Point

The kitchen featured original cabinetry from the early 2000s, laminate countertops showing significant wear, and outdated overhead lighting. The adjacent living area had scuffed baseboards, uneven flooring in one corner, and walls that had not been refreshed in over a decade. The homeowner wanted a clean, modern feel that would hold up to daily family use.

The Work

The contractor team began with a full strip of the kitchen cabinetry and countertops. New cabinets were installed with soft-close hardware and a painted finish in a warm white tone. Quartz countertops replaced the laminate, and a new under-cabinet lighting system was added throughout. In the living area, the flooring was releveled and new luxury vinyl plank was laid throughout both spaces for a seamless look. Baseboards and trim were replaced, and the walls received two coats of a warm neutral.

The Result

The transformation took approximately three weeks from start to finish. The homeowner described the finished kitchen as a space they now actually want to spend time in. The flooring change alone made the living area feel significantly larger. This project reflects the kind of quality and attention to detail that Network of Excellence partners consistently bring to their work.
